We need you.

St. Anne Community Outreach helps to meet the basic needs of our neighbors living in crisis while striving to create a community that fosters faith, hope, and love. Our work is not possible without you.

Our Neighbors

Over 55% of those living in the Chattahoochee Valley are living paycheck-to-paycheck (called ALICE families) or below the poverty line.

When income barely covers basic necessities such as food, rent, and utilities, an unexpected bill such as a minor car repair can cause significant financial consequences.

At St. Anne Outreach, the clients we are blessed to serve are often caring for children, serving their country, or living on a fixed income; all of them are living in crisis while suffering from either food insecurity, a pending eviction, or living without running water, gas, or electricity.

Meet Alba. A grandmother in her 70s who is undergoing cancer treatments and living off a fixed income after working her whole life is now the guardian for her 3 grandchildren (aged 5, 3, 1) after her daughter, who struggles with substance abuse, dropped them off and never come back. Outreach has worked with this grandmother connecting her with resources in the community and providing her with emergency groceries, diapers, and utility assistance.

Our Services

St. Anne Outreach helps provide basic needs for those living in crisis, including assisting with food, water, and shelter. We serve those living in Muscogee and Russell Counties and active duty families stationed at Fort Benning.

Our Employment Readiness program and Twice Blessed are two new programs we have incorporated into our ministry to walk alongside our clients in achieving self-sustainability through meaningful work and maintaining a home on a budget.

Emergency Groceries

We distribute groceries on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 AM and the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. An appointment and identification is required for everyone in the household.

Utility Assistance

We assist families with minors in the household or those over the age of 65 whose gas, water, or power is scheduled to be disconnected or is already off with their past-due balance. We can assist once in a 12-month period.

Eviction Prevention

We provide 1 month's rent to those facing eviction in Muscogee or Russell counties. Clients must have a current, valid lease; have lived in the home for 3+ months; have a minor living in the household, or be over the age of 65. We can assist once in a 24-month period.

Employment Readiness

Our team walks alongside those seeking meaningful employment in partnership with Better Work through career planning, resume writing, and interview preparation. We cultivate relationships with businesses within the community and send referrals on a participant’s behalf.

Meet Leah. A single mother who, after being shot multiple times and spending months in the hospital fighting for her life, returned home to an eviction notice. Outreach was able to step in and pay her rent so that she could focus on regaining her strength and ability to work as the sole provider for her five children. The displacement of eviction and subsequent homelessness would have been a devastating trauma for these children who had already endured so much.

Meet the Jacksons. A young military family newly stationed at Fort Benning has to travel back and forth to an Atlanta hospital for their medically fragile daughter. Gas and overnight stays have made it very difficult for them to afford food for their family at the end of each month. Outreach was able to step in and help this family with emergency groceries.

Your gift brings hope.

Meet Samuel. A single father of small children dying of heart failure whose mother is serving as his caregiver is unable to keep the electric bill paid in their home. Outreach was able to pay his balance and work with the power company to prevent service disruption.

Meet Mae. An 87-year-old woman whose husband passed away faced eviction after no longer receiving his benefits to pay her monthly rent. Outreach was able to help her avoid eviction through a month’s rent and connected her with resources to stay in her home.
